Route description

The walk starts at Dingli Cliffs and follows the coastal path southwards along the cliff edge, offering wide views over the sea and surrounding landscape. Early in the route, the trail passes viewpoints and scenic spots, including the area around Gebel Ciantar and the Dingli Window rock formations. From here, the walk continues eastwards along the exposed coastline, passing rocky paths, cliffside viewpoints and several photo stops along the way. After reaching the southern section of the route, the trail gradually turns inland and follows rural roads and tracks through open countryside towards Siggiewi. The walk ends near the Limestone Heritage area after covering a total distance of approximately seven kilometres.

Practical advice

This route includes uneven terrain, rocky coastal paths and exposed sections close to high cliff edges, so careful footing is required throughout. The coastal part of the walk offers little to no shade, making drinking water, sun protection and suitable footwear essential. Some sections may be affected by strong winds, especially near the cliffs, so extra caution is needed in poor weather. Walkers should stay on marked or established paths, avoid unstable cliff edges and respect private land and surrounding natural areas. Due to the exposed terrain and longer distance, this route is best suited for walkers with a reasonable level of fitness.
