If you’re visiting on the 31st of March or the 8th of September, you may also catch the Regatta race held in the Grand Harbour. These national events feature four to five hours of rowing races between teams representing the villages surrounding the harbour. If you want to feel the true cultural aspect, watch the race from one of the Three Cities (Birgu, Bormla or Kalkara).
