Keep in mind
Keep your belongings secure and carry a small first aid kit. Always bring enough drinking water and be mindful of the sun, especially during summer, as there is little to no shade along the walks.
Check the weather before starting your walk. Choose a walk that suits your ability and stop if it becomes too challenging.

From here, the route continues towards Blata il-Bajda and the salt pans area, where the landscape becomes more open and rugged along the coast. The walk then turns inland and follows paths and rural tracks through the Selmun area, passing Fort Campbell and other elevated viewpoints along the way. After looping through the countryside and higher ground, the route gradually descends back towards the coast and returns to the starting point near Mistra Bay. Practical advice
This route includes uneven terrain, rocky coastal paths and exposed sections near the sea, so careful footing is needed throughout. Some parts of the trail may be rough, narrow or more difficult, especially along the coastal edge and on steeper inland sections. The area offers little shade, so drinking water, sun protection and suitable footwear are essential. Walkers should remain on established paths and take extra care near rocky edges, loose ground and exposed viewpoints. Due to the varied terrain and longer distance, this walk is best suited for walkers with a reasonable level of fitness.
